When the noise fades and we’re left with nothing but truth – both beautiful and uncomfortable. It’s at that moment when your soul holds up a mirror, and for once, you don’t look away.

Today’s post is a poem, a conversation with my soul when I found time to stop running from me. People look outside a lot to find who they should be, what they should do, rather than taking their inward journey seriously. Enjoy.

Soul Mirror

When everyone is gone and it’s just me and you,
Soul, you strip me bare of pretense and pride.
In stillness, you reveal the gaps within,
Like light through stained glass,
I can see in me everything I hide

How you know me as my masks fall away like dead leaves,
How you map my wounds with gentle reassurance
How you know, how my spirit grieves.
Stories I’d buried deep,
Gently showing me spaces for growth
Ah, you know me without judgement.
And it’s how I can dig deep in this stillness,
Where truth and grace dance hand in hand.

When everyone is gone and we sit here,
You teach me how to heal my cracks
Fill them with light and love that starts within.
The first time I caught a glimpse of who I could be was with you.
It was in your mirror I saw my divinity.
between breath and being, doing and becoming
You keep illuminating my wholeness and I find…
I find nothing broken.
Ah, I finally see what you’ve known all along
That ‘I am complete’
